Day 3 of the Worlds follows a similar format to yesterday's comeption and is another busy day with only three medals up for grabs. The afternoon session sees the start of the Men’s Sprint and Women’s Omnium competitions (Flying Lap) – both of which conclude tomorrow - as well as the Men’s Omnium Individual Pursuit qualifications. The Men's Sprint continues to Quarter Final stage in the evening session while the Womens' concludes along with the Men's Omnium (Scratch Race and Kilo). The third of the medal races is the Women's Scratch.

trackcycling's coverage of the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships continues and Day 2 of the Worlds is a busy one, but only three medals are handed out. trackcycling's coverage of the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships starts today with four medals being decided - the Men's and Women's Team Sprint, the Men's Team Pursuit and the Men's 15km Scratch Race. Great Britain and Australia will be favourites for the Team Pursuit and Women's Team Sprint - with the home team probably just having the edge in both events - but the Team Sprint could be a much closer run thing with Germany, France and Great Britain all capable of taking Gold.
