The organisers of the Revolution Series – Face Partnership – announced today that the first two rounds of the new Champions League series- scheduled for Friday 18th and Saturday 20th of November in Paris have been ‘postponed’. The series will now consist of the previously scheduled pairs of rounds in Manchester and London on the 25th/26th of November and the 2nd/3rd of December.
In a statement on their website, the organisers said “We are still keen to contribute to the development of track cycling in France, and will aim to come back next year in more favourable conditions, to present the Revolution Series to the French audience.”
It’s not clear what was unfavourable about conditions for 2016 – with the venue having already successfully hosted the 2015 UCI World Championships and 2016 UEC European Championships – where the Revolution launch was heavily promoted.
