The last race of the evening was another thriller – with another pair of break away riders tying up the race by lapping the field – although the bunch made them work hard for it. Rowsell took the opening sprint from Vos, Roberts and Colclough. Charlene Joiner of City of Edinburgh RC broke away to take the second sprint with Alice Barnes of Scott-Contessa-Epic second, Vos third and Armitstead fourth.
Ellen van Dijk pf Team Specialized-Lululemon and Vera Koedooder of Vera Sangers Cycline Team then took the initiative and it was van Dijk who notched up a sprint win as the pair opened out the gap on the bunch with Vos leading Barnes and the rest of the bunch over in their wake. Vos lead at that point – by two points from Joiner, van Dijk and Rowsell but shortly afterwards the two Dutch breakaway riders made the junction with van Dijk two points ahead of her rival.
Joiner took the final sprint from Vos, Armistead and Roberts. That was enough to give van Dijk the win on 15 points from Koedooder on 13 with Vos and Joiner on 10 points. It was also enough to give Vos the overall win in what had been a very entertaining Omnium.
