An extended Reading Track League season starts on Monday the 19th of April at Palmer Park Stadium with a full programme for Youth and Senior riders.
The first two rounds – which start at 7pm – have a Sprint theme with 500m Sprints at the heart of Round 1 and Keirins dominating the programme for Round 2.
The third round – on the Sunday of the May Day Bank Holiday weekend – is the popular Bordeaux-Paris meeting with two stage Scratch and Derny paced format events for Seniors and Youth riders. And all rounds, of course, end with the gruelling, fast paced AW Cyles 20k Scratch race.
Following some successful racing well in to the Autumn last year – the result of a track closure to refurbish the athletics track – the season has been extended through to the 27th of September with no less than 21 rounds – weather permitting!
