Reading's Palmer Park Stadium to close for the summer

Due to refurbishment of the Palmer Park Stadium athletic track, Reading Track League is going to have to take a break this summer.

The refurbishment, originally scheduled to start on Monday 27th July has been postponed until Tuesday 28^th July to allow one more meeting to be squeezed in. The track will be closed for at least 6 weeks, but it could take longer if bad weather delays the work.

The athletic track refurbishment was due to happen last year but was postponed. Assuming work is completed on time, League organisers have provisionally booked the track for 4 more meetings from 14^th September to 5^th October, meetings 16 to 20 on the programme.

The Regional 20k Championship will move to meeting 11 on 6^th July and the prize presentation will now take place on Friday 23^rd October.
