The 14th Revolution Series kicked off in Manchester last night with some of the biggest changes to the format since it began. The three rounds of this year’s Elite Men’s Championship are now a qualifier for the new Revolution Champion’s League and, while women’s racing has long been a key

The final round of the 2015-16 Revolution Series took place in Manchester on the 23rd of January and saw top class fields in the Men’s Sprint and Endurance events and the Women’s Endurance – as well as the usual high intensity riding from the Hoy Future Stars Boys and Girls.

The final day of competition at this most unusual of Revolutions saw the conclusion of bith Omnium competitions, Men's and Women's Keirins and the return of Cav and Wiggo to the Madison. A fitting finale to three days of racing in Derby. Photos by Chris Maher

Day two in Derby would see the Men's and Women's Omniums kick off - with Mark Cavendish making his debut in one and Laura Trott resuming battle in the other as well as the Men's Individual Pursuit - and the Sprint competitions which would see Francois Pervis and Jason Kenny

The evening session of Day 2 was dominated by the conclusion of the Sprint competitions, the ever popular Omnium Elimination Races and the Revolution's newest old favourite, the Longest Lap 850
